The menu fully complies with the latest school food regulations, and meets the criteria for the Bronze Standard of Food For Life. Meeting these criteria enables individual schools to develop their food culture in school, in addition to the following practical benefits:- 

• At least 75% of the dishes on our menu are freshly prepared in our kitchens.
• All the meat we use is farm assured as a welfare minimum.
• The eggs we use are from cage-free hens (in fact ours are local & free range too).
• Our staff are supported with professional development including training in fresh food preparation.
• Food on the menu does not contain any hydrogenated fats or undesirable additives

Mid-morning Snacks

For a number of reasons we ask you not to send any sweets, or any other drinks apart from water to school with your child. At present, due to a Government initiative, children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are offered a free piece of fruit each day to be eaten at break time. Key stage 2 children may bring a piece of fruit to eat only.

Water 

Please give your child a plastic bottle to use in school for water. It is important that they drink water throughout the day and we want it to be readily available to them. The bottles can be filled at home if you wish. Bottles need to be taken home in the evening and washed. Water bottles are available for purchase from the school office.
